Short answer

Clipnod covers the review features most editors use every day: frame-accurate comments, drawings, version stacking, compare and client approvals. It charges once instead of monthly and stores files in your own Google Drive. Frame.io is a stronger fit for large studios that need camera-to-cloud or enterprise sign-on.

Frequently asked questions

Is Clipnod a free Frame.io alternative?

Clipnod has a free trial with every feature (1 project, 3 uploads). Unlimited use is a one-time payment of ₹849 in India or $12 elsewhere, with no subscription.

Can clients review videos without signing up?

Yes. Anyone with a review link can watch in any browser. You decide whether commenting, approving or downloading needs a quick Google sign-in.

Where are my videos stored?

In your own Google Drive, in a Clipnod folder. Clipnod only gets access to the files it creates, never the rest of your Drive.

Does Clipnod work for content creators and brand deals?

Yes. The Brand deal project template creates Brief, Raw Footage, Edits for Review, Approved by Client and Posted folders, and approved videos move into the Approved folder automatically.

Who should still choose Frame.io?

Large studios that need camera-to-cloud uploads, enterprise single sign-on or deep Adobe integrations. Freelancers, small teams and creators usually do not need those features.
